Earn Your "Horse Lovers" Merit Badge at T.E.S.!
The Two-hour Group Lesson includes:
Lectures on parts of the horse and tack, safety around horses, grooming techniques and tacking up procedures.
Hands-on practice session in tacking and grooming.
35-40 minute group riding lesson (teaches basic equitation skills).
Each scout will receive a certificate stating that the requirements of the "Horse Lovers" Badge have been met.
For ages 6 & up. A minimum of six riders are required and maximum of 14 riders allowed. Cost is $45 per rider. $100 deposit required at the time of booking.
Additional lessons to allow the scout to meet the requirements for the "Horse Riders" Badge are also available.
Riding boots required or will be provided by TES.
