Students must have their instructor's permission to lease a school horse.
The cost of leasing is $690.00 per month. All lease payments are due and payable on the first of each month. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged if payment is received after the 3rd of each month. T.E.S. is responsible for board, shoes and all veterinary care.
The lease agreement is on a month-to-month basis and is automatically renewed unless written notice is given 30 days in advance.
Students may have the use of the horse 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday. The horse will be kept in full training, which includes 1 half hour private and 2 group lessons per week. The other days may be used for 1 hour practice rides. Please make sure you put all ride times (including lessons) on the lease ride board that is in the office. This will insure that your horse will not be used during a time you have a lesson scheduled or wish to ride free. If you wish to add additional lessons, you may pay for them on a per diem basis pursuant to T.E.S. regular package prices.
Horses must be back in the barn from lessons and practice rides by 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 4:00 p.m. on weekends. A rider may only have use of the lease horse once per day.
If the horse that the student is leasing becomes unavailable due to injury or illness, T.E.S. will provide another horse to use during the time that the lease horse is unavailable.
Approved helmets must be worn with the chin strap attached at all times when mounted.
Spurs may not be worn during practice rides.
Students are required to provide all equipment used on the horse (all tack and grooming equipment). School fleece pads and girths will be provided for you. Any splints, bell boots or polo wraps must be approved by the barn manager.
No bareback riding is permitted, except in a T.E.S. lesson and is subject to your instructor's approval.
Students may only jump their lease horses in lessons.
Practice rides will be in T.E.S. assigned rings.
You may ride your lease horse on the trail, only when accompanied by a T.E.S. instructor.
You may not allow anyone else to ride your lease horse.
All weekend lease rides are after 1:00 p.m., unless you are in a lesson.
JUMP HORSES ONLY: Due to our limited usage of Jump Horses, jump lessons have priority.
* Please read our Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement. You must agree to this and sign before riding in our facility. |
